What is the difference between External and Internal Employers?

External Employers is for employees receiving their wages without their employer signed up to our platform (indeed, they don’t need to know the money is going through Bitwage). Internal Employers are signed up for our Team Wages product. They invite employees and create payrolls within Bitwage. They will invite you to be under their company and you can then invoice them from your account.

Once invited by an internal Employer, you can set a custom distribution for payments from that Employer under their dropdown menu on your worker.bitwage.com home page. External Employer distribution options can be set under the External Invoicing dropdown. Here are the Distribution Options. You can invoice your clients with these currencies.
